Market Chatter: Tesla to Expand Japan Sales Network with Four New Delivery Locations

Tesla plans to expand its sales network in Japan by about 60% this year to manage high demand for its electric vehicles, adding one delivery location each in Yokohama and Kobe this month, Nikkei reported Monday.
The US electric car maker also plans to open one delivery location each in the greater Tokyo region and in Nagoya by year-end, bringing its total locations to 11 from currently seven.
Tesla sold over 10,000 vehicles in 2025, surpassing its previous record of about 5,900 vehicles in 2022 in Japan.
