Trump: Christian missionary Kevin Rideout back in US custody after kidnapping

President Donald Trump announced on August 14 that Kevin Rideout, a Christian missionary, has been returned to United States custody after being kidnapped by Jihadi terrorists in West Africa.
"I am proud to announce that Kevin Rideout, a wonderful Christian Missionary, is back in United States Custody," Trump said in a statement on social media. He described West Africa as "the epicenter of Islamist terrorism, where there have been more deadly attacks in the past year than anywhere else on Earth."
Trump added: "Kevin, the United States of America looks forward to welcoming you HOME. Glad to have helped!" The president did not provide details on the circumstances of Rideout's release or the operation that secured his return.
