Trump's Truth Social latest posts08-13

President Donald Trump announced on August 12 that White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt will depart her role at the end of the month to spend more time with her young children and family. Trump expressed full understanding and respect for her decision, stating that Leavitt will now serve as one of his top outside advisors and an influential voice within the Republican Party.

“Karoline will now be one of my top outside advisors, and an influential voice within the Republican Party, as we work to defy History, and conclusively win the Midterm Elections,” Trump wrote on X. He credited Leavitt with being a real leader in the White House and praised her work since 2018, including the Historic Re-Election Campaign of 2024. Trump described her as “one of the best White House Press Secretaries in the History of the Office.”

Leavitt’s departure is set for the end of August. She will continue to advise Trump from outside the administration, focusing on the upcoming midterm elections and broader Republican strategy.
