President Donald Trump announced on August 12 the nomination of Lee Rudofsky to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Rudofsky currently serves as a Federal District Court Judge in Arkansas and previously held the positions of Solicitor General of Arkansas and Assistant General Counsel of Walmart. He is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Cornell University.
"Lee will be a rock solid defender of the Constitution on the Eighth Circuit. Congratulations Lee!" Trump wrote in a statement. The nomination requires Senate confirmation. Rudofsky's background includes extensive experience in both state and corporate legal practice, which Trump highlighted as qualifications for the lifetime appointment to the federal appellate bench.
