President Donald Trump on August 13 announced his endorsement of Kailee Buller, a former chief of staff at the U.S. Department of Agriculture in his administration, who is running to represent New York's 22nd Congressional District. In a post on X, Trump described Buller as an "America First Patriot" who has "the Courage and Wisdom to deliver strong results for the incredible people of her State, and our Nation."
Trump contrasted Buller with her opponent, John Mannion, accusing Mannion of voting against "NO TAX ON TIPS, NO TAX ON OVERTIME, and NO TAX ON SOCIAL SECURITY" and warning that if Mannion and Democrats gain power, "all of these things will be terminated." He also claimed Mannion supports "massive Tax Increases, Open Borders, Men playing in Women's Sports, and Transgender Mutilization of your Children." Trump added hyperbolically, "No more Thanksgiving if John Mannion and the Dumocrats get in!"
On the positive side, Trump pledged that Buller as congresswoman would "work hard to Grow our Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Support our Amazing Farmers and Ranchers, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Unleash American Energy DOMINANCE, Keep our Border SECURE, Strengthen our Military, Veterans, and Law Enforcement, and Defend our always under siege Second Amendment." He concluded with a full endorsement: "Kailee Buller has my Complete and Total Endorsement to be the next Congresswoman from New York’s 22nd Congressional District — SHE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!"
