Mitsui & Co, European Energy Expand e-Methanol Supply from Denmark

Mitsui & Co (TYO:8031) and European Energy are increasing e-methanol production at their facility in Kassø, Denmark, the Japanese trading house said in a press release Thursday.
The expansion follows deliveries to Maersk for marine fuel in 2025, as well as to the LEGO Group and Novo Nordisk for chemical production earlier this year. OMV has also agreed to purchase the fuel for road transport under European Union renewable fuel standards.
E-methanol is produced from green hydrogen and biomass-derived carbon dioxide.
