The US has entered a "new phase" in its war with Iran, with economic pressure now the administration's most effective tool, Vice President JD Vance said Thursday, Fox Business News reported.
Vance said the US had destroyed Iran's conventional military and damaged its weapons-producing industrial base, while warning that applying economic pressure could prompt Tehran to retaliate economically, the report said.
Vance said Iran's nuclear facilities had been destroyed but questioned whether Tehran would try to rebuild them, Fox Business News reported. He said the US was seeking to ensure Iran would not attempt to rebuild the facilities, the report said.
