Trump: White House renovation leaves it in better shape than 1792
Trump's Truth Social latest posts09-14
President Donald Trump said on September 14 that the White House was in “very bad condition” before renovation, calling it a “dump” and asserting that past presidents failed to maintain it. Trump claimed that the building’s exterior “skin” was practically falling off, but after his renovation efforts, “it is now in better shape than when built in 1792.” He credited the Department of Interior and various contractors for doing a “fantastic job” and posted before-and-after photos. Trump warned that without timely renovation, the White House would have been destroyed, and called it “such an Honor to have the privilege of saving this Great Structure.”
