Eli Lilly Reports 'Positive' Results From EloraTZP Trial

Eli Lilly (LLY) reported Wednesday "positive" results from a phase 2b trial of EloraTZP in 367 adults with obesity or overweight and type 2 diabetes.
All combinations of EloraTZP met the primary and secondary endpoints at 48 weeks, delivering "substantial" weight loss and A1C reduction, the firm said. EloraTZP is an investigational combination of eloralintide and tirzepatide.
The results were presented at the annual meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes in Milan, Italy.
Lilly also said it plans to initiate phase 3 studies of an EloraTZP co-formulation by the end of 2026.
