USP Group Unit to Distribute Iceland Firm's AI Fishing App in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia

USP Group (SGX:BRS) unit Supratechnic (M) signed a collaboration agreement with Iceland-based GreenFish to exclusively distribute its Afli AI-powered fishing app in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia, according to a Wednesday filing.
The app combines artificial intelligence, satellite observations and oceanographic data to identify likely fishing areas, with forecasts refreshed at least every six hours and available offline at sea.
Trip-planning, overdue-alert and emergency SOS features are under development and subject to review. The companies will conduct a free four- to six-month pilot involving 50 fishermen along Peninsular Malaysia's east and west coasts.
The commercial launch is subject to a joint review of the results, USP said.
