Singapore equities opened slightly higher Friday, tracking weak sentiment across Asian markets, as investor worries about AI ignited the global tech rout.
The Straits Times Index opened 11.76 points, or 0.2%, higher to 5,426.45.
Investors moved away from technology giants and poured into safe-haven bonds and Treasuries as excitement over the AI rally at the beginning of the year continues to fade.
