DoorDash (DASH) bid to acquire Instacart could be announced as early as Thursday morning, CNBC reported Wednesday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

Speculation has swirled since last week, when The Information reported Instacart was exploring a sale and had held talks with DoorDash and Uber.

Several outlets reported Monday that DoorDash was in advanced discussions to acquire Instacart in a deal that could value the company at about $17 billion, CNBC said.

DoorDash and Instacart did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
