U.S. President Donald J. Trump said on October 29 on X that the U.S. economy is “booming” at 3.4 percent growth and that core inflation remains low.
In the post, Trump wrote: “Consumer spending is WAY UP, Business Investment is WAY UP, and Investment in new Equipment EXPLODED by 21%,” adding that this means “Record Numbers of Factories and Companies are being built and expanded in the U.S.A.” He also emphasized: “Very importantly, Core Inflation remained LOW.”
He characterized the update as “Breaking News this morning” and called it “A Historic Level of Economic Growth.” Trump further asserted, “We are smashing expectations — with today’s numbers beating 72% of economists’ forecasts.” Turning to politics, he warned that “if the Dumocrats win the Midterms, they will burn it all down,” and urged voters: “If you want to keep this Growth going, you must vote REPUBLICAN!”
