Tesla shares are regaining some ground today ahead of the company's first-quarter earnings report, due after the close.After dropping nearly 6% on Monday, shares of the electric vehicle maker were up nearly 5% in Tuesday morning trading.The stock has been pummeled this year, tumbling more than 40% since the start of 2025.Analysts are expecting Tesla's quarterly financials to show a year-over-year decline in profits, according to FactSet estimates. The company has already reported a 13% annual decline in local vehicle deliveries.
