$Alphabet(GOOG)$$Alphabet(GOOGL)$when Google is green, it's not under its own merit, but due to the overall market going up. how sad of a stock. $Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$ and $Amazon.com(AMZN)$ already up 1% overnight. the stock keeps giving people hope being up 1%. only to fall 3% the next day. one step forward two steps back
$Intel(INTC)$This stock is down 50% from a year ago, and you have to go all the way back to 2012 to find any time it was this low. Question for experts on Intel stock .. Any chance it could drop to $15 share price ? I'm a buyer of Intel at the $15 price range. I think Intel has been classified by the Federal government as " too big to fail " .. Correct ?
$C3.ai, Inc.(AI)$AI is a risky bet. Over the past year I made a lot of money selling puts on AI at increasing strike prices, and when AI moved up over $30 after its last earnings report on February 28, 2024, I bought back all of my outstanding puts profitably and moved to the sidelines. Then I had another chance to sell puts at favorable prices again in May and quickly bought them back in June. The volatility in the price of AI has enabled me to serially sell these puts for rich premiums, and buy them back to capture the gains. Because I know that the upside potential for AI is limited, last week I once again sold puts on AI.
$NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$It’s a great company but with a market cap of $2.6 trillion, so it already seems a bit inflated. We certainly won’t see anything like past performance moving on from here; expecting that is delusional thinking IMHO. I’m not saying it’s going to collapse, but at these valuations there is not much more it can run. It could correct further too if recession fears and AI bubble fears kick in. It’ll come back, but some short term pain is very credible scenario.
$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$Had TSLA held $220 and/or broken $223, I would have covered about half my short today. Given the fall, I have increased my short position by another 20% today. Average short is now $244. Target is $203, and I will sell half. Warren is selling $Apple(AAPL)$ . If he had Tesla shares, he would drop them like they were stinking potatoes. I said be careful
$Monolithic Power(MPWR)$MPWR is a solid company with a strong track record, no doubt about that. But honestly, it’s looking a bit overpriced right now. The fundamentals are great, but the valuation feels off. So, I’m feeling pretty bearish in the short term. I think we might see some pullback before it’s worth diving back in. Right now, I’m keeping a close eye and waiting for a better entry point.
$NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$The share price is beginning to reflect the true value of NVDA. For many months the bubble was continuing to expand, tens of thousands of novice investors (speculators) were buying believing the unrealistic share value was a printing press turning out non existent profits. Mr. Market stepped in and said enough, AI is still finding it's place but big money responds to better known, solidly footed stocks as the rate of inflation subsides. Yes NVDA is a solid company, but had a very unrealistic share price very similar to $Cisco(CSCO)$ twenty five years or so ago. Think Nvidia Stock Is a Bubble?
$XIAOMI-W(01810)$$Xiaomi Corp.(XIACY)$Haha, looks like we're diving down to 12 now! Time for all those eager buyers to jump in. It seems like the big players are taking their sweet time unloading, and it's dragging on. If you're ready to pick up some shares, this might be your chance before the main players finish their exit. Just stay sharp and watch the moves!
$Lululemon Athletica(LULU)$ Buyback would be better at this stage rather than a div. Management though probably wants to keep investing for Asian growth, while avoiding debt. I'd rather have a solid balance sheet (for an apparel company) and no div than debt to fund growth and a div. I took a small position. I'll think about adding later as I believe September might provide some overall dips.
$Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$There’s honestly no telling how low AMD will go in the next 1-2 months. AMD’s earnings and forecast was lackluster. AMD was completely relying on $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ in hopes of riding its coattails because AMD can’t yet stand on its own two feet. Nvidia is now imploding, and now AMD is riding its coattails downward. Until AMD can deliver blowout earnings and strongly raise forecast it is going to drift aimlessly with the markets, and most likely downward regardless. AMD is red YTD. That’s all an investor needs to know now.
