Great ariticle, would you like to share it?

@hhjsyndrome
Hey folks, let me share my investing experience. So, according to this report from 2020, more than 90% of the so-called "actively managed" funds failed to beat the S&P. Talk about a striking defeat! Did you know that the S&P's average yearly returns range from 7% to 10%? And yet, most investors who try to be clever and handpick stocks cannot even beat the S&P lah! Now, let me tell you about my own experience this year. Remember that article I posted? https://ttm.financial/m/post/9982469877?utm_campaign=9982469877&utm_medium=whatsapp&shareID=ef6315401530d0baf413538025864b28&invite=MIZ2XL&lang=en_US&platform=android&utm_source=post Wah, I think I really hit the nail on the head when it came to the FAANG stocks, you know? All of them turned out to be the movers of the market. I got excited and bought a few shares, and one of them was META. I was so happy to be a proud owner of META can! But then, my dear friends, I let my emotions get the better of me. I thought I was being smart and decided to play it safe by selling my positions before the FED meeting. I was so scared that poor Q1 earnings and the FED's announcement of more rate hikes would send the market crashing down. So, I exited the market and planned to re-enter after FED Powell's speech. But you know what happened? Powell suddenly sounded so chill and optimistic, and the market went up instead! Talk about a plot twist sia! To make things worse, META's earnings beat everyone's expectations, and it skyrocketed like nobody's business. "Year of efficiency," they called it! Aiyah, I learned my lesson, lor. Don't try to be a market genius and time the market lah. If you want to invest in a company, just invest and hold on for the long term. Don't let your feelings play tricks on you, or else you'll miss out on the best days of the stock. Haiyo, it's my first year of investing, and let me share my performance with you. So far, I'm quite happy with the results. Fingers crossed, hoping to keep this consistency! How about you? How has this year been treating you in the investing game, ah? Share-share, let's have a good laugh together!
