Apple Design Principle To Create VR Competition Advantage

@nerdbull1669
I would be looking at $Apple(AAPL)$ in the coming week, 05-09 June. The reason is because Apple (AAPL) will be launching their VR headset product, it is important to consider how Apple (AAPL) have been designing their product (the principles behind the design). So I though it might be appropriate to share the design principle of Steve Jobs Market is anticipating Apple (AAPL) new VR headset launch on 05 June 2023. Companies like Apple (AAPL) would use the release of an innovative, revenue-driving product or service to influence its stock's valuation. I have written an article on why AAPL would stand to gain from this new product launch, I know that there are many who would have prefer META. Can new Apple (AAPL) VR Headset propel its stock price? But it is important to look at the power of Apple (AAPL) design, it is very much designed in a way to suit human natural body behavior. I would like to share the five design principles of Steve Jobs. This has worked very well for Apple (AAPL) products over the years. I do own Apple products, and my personal feel is that it is simple yet precise. 1. Simplicity Steve Jobs lived by the belief that we have to make everything obvious. If we look at the successful designs from Steve Jobs, we can always notice that intuition have played a huge part in some of his most successful design. Actually his principle of simplicity is to base designs on principles that people already understand. A key example of this is the use of physical gestures. By focusing on simplicity with design, usability can be achieved but most important we also achieve sophistication. 2. Friendliness One important observation I personally have done is why Apple designs succeed is because of their usability and desire to help people. Steve Jobs ensured that designs were friendly and empathetic to people’s needs. Apple (APPL) place importance in building a connection with the customer. Apple products strive to show that they understand consumer needs better than anybody else. A smiley face was shown when starting up the first Apple computer, that is a good demonstration of friendliness. While focusing on helping customers, Apple (AAPL) adopt approachable and friendliness. This allows their designs to appeal to people who consider themselves novices or are overwhelmed with technology. 3. Minimalism As we already know that Steve Jobs have an interest in Zen philosophy, this is why Steve Jobs made sure minimalism was at the heart of every design. He was known to ask the team to take away all the noise and focus on the core need of the product. With his perfectionism, I hope to see this coming in the VR headset which is important for it to be used to create a really real and live experience (which is as close to human natural behavior as possible). Steve Jobs was known to be ruthless with designs, stripping down products until they had just the fundamental elements needed. To add elements to designs is easy, but to remove everything that is a distraction actually can create more success. It is always important to note that the principle is not lost but maintained even when there is complication in the design. 4. Precision In all aspects of life, Steve Jobs took precision seriously. His level of detail has left a deep impression on designers, and his focus on craft has always been admirable. His accuracy in his art made sure that aesthetics were maintained at all times. Even if elements are hidden, Steve Jobs ensured that every single aspect is high-quality and attractive. With this precision, it is important to remember that people do judge a book by its cover and that quality should never be compromised. 5. Focus Steve Jobs will never allowed himself to be distracted or sidetracked by another idea once he has locked down a design in mind. To him, staying organized and focused is critical. Quote from Steve Jobs ““I’m as proud of what we don’t do as I am of what we do”. Keeping that in mind, do clear away distractions and plan ahead to stay on track. Always have focus on your original goal. How this design principle can help in Apple New VR headset The VR headset is not new to the market, META already have their, and there have been used cases already. But at the end of the day, I believe it will boil down to the application that will be used to power this VR headset. As a consumer, to be honest, we would be looking for an application that is simple yet precise. Able to let us produce the best effect with minimum operating steps. If we look back at the design principle, I believe Apple (AAPL) would be able to incorporate that into the new VR headset, I look forward to this new product. Summary There have been news about the competition of VR technology, it is important to consider the companies past product design history. If we look at META, remember their metaverse, it is a very design intensive application, but why META has choose to stop or abort it, I have taken a look and try it when it was first launched. I do not feel the human in the design of the application, it is not simple nor require minimum effort to use it. Hope Apple (AAPL) use the design principles to create a good competitive advantage for the VR space. Look forward to Apple (AAPL) VR launch.
