U: Will be worth a shot at the potential shark completion zone

From the rumors unity say they will let devs to report installations themselves and cost for above 1 million dev will be capped at 4%, interestingly though is this 4% could be per legal entity and not per game, as for 200k to 1m, the cap is still unlimited and will be charged around 0.15 per install. Unity really do want this group of devs to be gone because is likely simply too much trouble tweaking the engine to satisfy this group of devs. Also I think unity realizes that their most profitable business comes from mid to big budget gacha games so they perhaps just want to focus on that right now to try make themselves profitable.

Some of these indie devs keep saying how unity hates them, that's right, unity wants this group to just leave and they are tired of spending money to tweak the engine for this group of devs. Execs also say they will do more of show, not tell. They have clearly made their decision and will not back down. As for gacha games, revenue mostly comes from Asia so unity will likely focus a lot more of their biz in Asia and won't even bother much for the west any longer. For western devs, they don't even want to make a good looking girl chars so gacha games have little chance to be successful in the west.

Finally if unity does decide to focus their engine on mid to big budget gacha games, they might also conduct another round of mass layoffs as they don't need to keep so many workers around to satisfy so many different demands.

Looking here, I think unity is a great opportunity if we get to these levels. I wouldn't pass this chance up, I would at least take a small position.

This is a 786 retrace of bottom to top, and also a shark pattern $Unity Software Inc.(U)$
