NatWest Bank to upgrade its chatbot with IBM

IBM will work with NatWest Bank to improve Cora, the bank's virtual assistant, which will use generative AI to provide access to a wider range of information through conversational interactions. The partnership will use IBM's Watsonx enterprise AI platform, and it will work on co-creating a digital concierge that make the chatbot more interactive. Cora+ will be able to access information from multiple secure sources. Customers may ask questions and get answers in a more conversational way, and can also receive links to the material they've requested. "We're working with companies like IBM to leverage the latest generative AI innovations that will help make Cora feel even more 'human' and, most importantly, a trusted reliable digital partner for our customers," said Wendy Redshaw, Chief Digital Information Officer of NatWest's Retail Bank.
