Annual report.

Quite happy with my outcomes for this year! $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$   has definitely been a massive friend, going both long and short on the stock, and using quite a bit of options on it as well.

Missed opportunity with $Coinbase Global, Inc.(COIN)$  , as I was skeptical of it moving up as much as it eventually did. I was both long and short the stock at various times, so i'm content that i didn't end up short when it started its run up.

2023 looks like a good base, given it is the first year I started really investing/trading the markets after dabbling a little in 2021/2022. I am very happy with how things panned out after I decided to put the money in this year, starting with a 100k SGD of spare cash. The confidence that I gained over the earlier two years experimenting using Tiger Brokers were really pivotal in giving me the conviction that I can tackle the markets. No doubt, luck and God's will were instrumental in the journey too.

I have learnt that even a beginner/noob can make money through investments if they have the willingness to learn and observe the markets. That being said, only invest what you can afford to lose as the risks remains. Despite the decent profits this year, I took some heavy losses along the way too, it's really not for everyone especially if one cannot stomach losses.

Having stable income generation running in the background helps a lot to keep one grounded through the lottery that sometimes the stock markets can become.
