We're just two weeks into the new year, and $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$ stock is already up 15.32%. Demand for Nvidia will surge in 2023, and there are no signs of relaxing yet. Nvidia expects total fourth-quarter revenue of about $20 billion, more than triple the $6 billion it reported last year. Potential Headwinds It’s not all blue skies for Nvidia. The competition is heating up and could steal some of the chip maker’s market. Both $Intel(INTC)$ and $Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ have developed their own AI chips. They will reportedly price them at significant discounts to NVDA chips. That could have potential cost-conscious customers changing their purchase plans.
