Temu probably big competition for Shein, but not Amazon
@jazzyxx:Temu has a long way to go to match the Amazon experience. 1) very slow delivery (highly variable 2-3 week delivery) 2) they cut costs so much in their packing, that they end up with a lot of damaged products and therefore a lot of returns. 3) there are free returns, but there are restrictions on returns that disincentivize bulk orders. 4) no brand name items - so you can't really "compare costs" if you are looking for something specific 5) it's cheap because you get what you pay for. Many of the products they sell will be returned once customers realize this. 6) customer service not as easy to access Speaking anecdotally, it was interesting to see the giant boxes full of those cheap Temu bags going back to returns at the UPS store. Initially, they will probably show some great numbers, but that will drop off as people stick with Walmart/Amazon/etc. They will lose a lot of money on returns and ultimately only end up serving a niche market of products. It's probably big competition for Shein, but not Amazon. $拼多多(PDD)$ $亚马逊(AMZN)$
