The strategy of the hedge funds is very simple: they are short selling and simply exhausting patience of BABA share holders by keeping it so low, hoping that simple shareholders will get tired to hold it and sell cheap. They are holding it so cheap for 3 years already and especially cheap last 6 months, below 80. Of cause the real price is above 200.
