$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ TSM makes the chips that are used in every cell phone, every automobile, every laptop computer, every point of sale cash register, and most importantly, every weapon system in our inventory. Every missile, every bomb, every vehicle, every targeting system, every guidance system, every satellite, you name it, something from TSM is likely in there. So every time Ukraine fires a weapon at Russia, somebody has to make a replacement to keep our inventory stocked and to do that, we need a supply chain that can reliably produce those chips without trojan exploits, sabotage, or other attacks.

This is a large part of the reason the USA promises to protect Taiwan, and a driving reason behind why the CHIPS act was passed and why TSM will be building a foundry in Arizona. We want them on continental US soil where we can protect them.

For the above reasons alone, you should know that this company is going to be prosperous, and we haven't even started discussing AI, big data, expert systems, big modeling and simulation, or any of the other driving motivations that pushed stocks like NVDA to bubble-like levels. Those are all going to drive customers to need the latest and greatest chips. Everyone that wants to stay in business needs to have the fastest processing and the largest storage (memory as well as long term SSD). That demand is only getting larger, but the existing demand we already know is justification to support buying at these levels!
