Google cloud , have you heard of it

Google Cloud is a big focus as it is at the heart of the AI competition. Many cloud providers, including Google Cloud, are offering AI models on their platforms (Models-as-a-Service) to enterprise customers, enabling them to integrate AI solutions tailored to their business needs.

In addition to hosting its own AI model, Gemini, Google Cloud also supports models from other major players like Meta and Anthropic. This diversity is crucial as customers may switch providers if they cannot find the specific model they require. Thus, cloud services are increasingly adopting a comprehensive approach rather than exclusively offering their own AI models.

Subscriptions, platforms, and devices—including the Google Play Store, Google Pay, Google One, YouTube Premium, and Pixel—grew by 18% year-over-year. This segment's revenue has now surpassed that of Google Network.

However, Alphabet did not sit idle. It launched Gemini, overcoming initial launch issues. More crucially, its operations yield tangible results in the first quarter of 2024.

Revenue increased by 15% year-over-year, with impressive growth across key segments. Google Search not only defended itself against ChatGPT's challenge but also experienced a 14% growth. YouTube notably accelerated its growth to 21%—up from 16% in the previous quarter—mitigating concerns about competition from TikTok. The only disappointment came from the Google Network, which saw a 1% decline in revenue. However, overall, Google's advertising revenue still grew by 13%. However      Google Cloud demonstrated robust performance with a 28% year-over-year growth, indicating a slight acceleration from the previous quarter’s 26% growth. This trend underscores that AI adoption by enterprises continues to thrive.
