How will they fare tonight?

$Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$  stock price had a bloodbath last night after the semiconductor chip maker announced latest earnings that have failed to impress the market, dragging down its peers like $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$  , $Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$ and the overall semiconductor industry $Direxion Daily Semiconductors Bull 3x Shares(SOXL)$  . Despite the dismal results, disclosures by big techs such as Meta Platforms, Microsoft, Google parent Alphabet and Amazon in their latest earnings releases indicative of massive spendings on artificial intelligence chips in enhancing their respective AI infrastructures in the coming quarters should boost the semiconductor industry and help it to regain its past glory. Hopefully, Apple will add more good news on AI investment and cheer the semiconductor industry when it posts its earnings results tonight.

With a share price of mere 5 cent, $Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc.(FFIE)$  is cheaper than a penny stock and susceptible to wild swings in its share price every trading day, as opportunists try to take advantage of the price fluctuations for quick bucks. Time is running out to tll 25 June 2024 when the company has to execute a reverse stock splits to bump up the stock price to meet Nasdaq Stock Market LLC's requirement to maintain a minimum bid price requirement of $1, failing which, its securities will be subject to delisting. Short of some white knight coming to the rescue, with deteriorating fundamentals and worsening order book, the stock has lost its appeal as a long-term investment and has become a highly speculative meme-stock play, shooting through the roof on short-squeeze in one day and plunging to the ground when fears of its poor fundamentals return the next day. Adding Faraday Future will be like throwing good money after bad.
