Intel was once the greatest company in the world many would say but starting in 2013 they got lazy and arrogant with massive hubris and rested on their laurels while competitors like AMD and Taiwan Semi slowly but surely gained new skills and made superior products.
The worst part is Intel kept making promises about making new superior products for over a decade and NEVER once delivered them.
The xeon was the end of their legacy and even with the stickiness of staying with the same company that Intel had, the competitions products grew SO superior that even their best allies and friends like mega cloud companies were forced to switch to AMD and Taiwan Semi.
Apple delivered the shot over the bow by developing an AI chip using ARM technology that is far faster than Intels cpus and stopped using their chips.
Now this company is in real trouble being the UNDERDOG for the first time in their lives and have to dig themselves out of a huge hole.[Surprised][Surprised][Angry]
I am not sure they will ever be able to make the transition to the small nano chips that are essential to their success because I no longer believe their promises.
