Strix has the added advantage of using the same FP8 socket as Phoenix and Hawk Point, which minimizes design and production costs for laptop OEMs. Technically, Granite Ridge by itself does not qualify as an AI PC--you have to add a GPU for that, but most people will do so.
All of that means AMD will be in far more AI PCs this year than Intel. And with Strix Point Halo coming next year to laptops and desktops, AMD's market share could easily double. Add to that the MI300 and its successors and the rebound in embedded later this year, and I really like AMD's positioning and prospects going forward.
