Im a big fan of banking stocks, probably because they have really done well for me recently. I own $Bank of America(BAC)$, $WESTPAC BANKING CORPORATION(WBC.AU)$, $ANZ GROUP HOLDINGS LTD(ANZ.AU)$ $Citigroup(C)$. I also own second teir lenders like $Main Street Capital(MAIN)$, gain, trin and a few others which are also sound performers. By sound, they have all easily beaten the s&p 500, 75% have actually more than doubled returns of the s&p 500.

I just love utilities And banks. Over many years of investing both sectors have always performed. But will this continue? to this question my answer is... why wouldn't they.

I mean in New Zealand for example, banks are closing branches constantly, reducing operating hours, setting up overseas call centers where you can't understand the person you are speaking witn... basically Pissing off more and more traditional customers left, right and center. And this is fantastic because they are making more and more money, and customers just have to suck it up buttercup, because there is no other choice. They are oligopolies.

Go the banks, no matter what interest rates do, what happens with inflation, the only risk maybe is a bank run, but thats not in the best interests of government, so we have measures to protect from this. Banks can reduce their services and charge more for less. For me, banks are my breakfast cereal of choice.

Happy investing fellow tigers.
