Will the big techs continue to sink next week?

$Alphabet(GOOG)$   was the first among the big techs to release its latest earnings results, but it had not been an auspicious start. Despite an earnings beat, Alphabet stock plunged over worries of rising competition such as the increasingly popular TikTok and increasing capital investment in artificial intelligence to fend off competition. The plunge in Alphabet had triggered panic selling across its peers such as $Apple(AAPL)$ $Microsoft(MSFT)$ $Amazon.com(AMZN)$  and $Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$  before their earnings announcements from 30 July to 1 August, as investors have turned notably cautious and adopted risk-off approach to reduce their exposure to the technology sector for fear that the tech stocks may have run ahead of their fundamentals.

I believe that the panic selling and chain reaction are overdone as Alphabet's main source of revenue from advertising has proven to be resilient and its investments are necessary to sustain long-term growth in areas such as generative AI and robotaxis. The fundamentals of Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon and Meta Platforms have remained strong and given their strong market dominance and leadership in their respective businesses, I'm confident that their stock prices will recover over time. In fact, I'm optimistic that Apple, Microsoft, Amazon and Meta Platforms will bring cheers to the market when they release their latest earnings. For now, the selloff offers an opportunity for me to accumulate more of these big techs.
