EV vs AI - which is a better bet?

The Chinese electric vehicle industry has been struggling with sluggish sales in a domestic economy trying to regain its footing. The Chinese EV trio $NIO Inc.(NIO)$ $XPeng Inc.(XPEV)$  and $Li Auto(LI)$  have not been getting cheers from investors with EV demand softening in China and narrowing profit margins amidst price war in the EV market. This is not helped by intensifying competition marked not least by the latest entry of the electronics powerhouse Xiaomi. Furthermore, with increasing competition from a growing number of conventional car makers jumping onto the EV bandwagon, while demands have yet to catch up, I am getting concerned with a worsening EV glut in the near term.

$Palantir Technologies Inc.(PLTR)$ and $C3.ai, Inc.(AI)$  are among the first movers in rolling out artificial intelligence offerings and reaping the early fruits as more companies jump onto the AI bandwagon. The duo has since carved their respective niche segments. Building on its close collaborations with the US government, Palantir has deployed the stable cash flows to expand beyond the public sector that is now paying off as it enjoys impressive growth in the new market segments. Likewise, amidst rapid acceleration of digital transformation being all the rage since the onset of the COVID pandemic, C3.ai has found itself in the centre of rising demands for enterprise AI applications. Hence, I'm optimistic about the rising prospects of Palantir and C3.ai.
