The U.S. Government needs and "has to have" Intel's chips, plain and simple and if it takes a federal bailout, like they did for GM $General Motors(GM)$, they will. There is just too much infrastructure in place that has taken decades for Intel to create, use their expertise to build and provide the worlds computer and other industries with the chips needed. JMHO
