$SUPER MICRO COMPUTER INC(SMCI)$  $Intel(INTC)$

Why am i not investing in Intel (INTC), which could potentially recover, or SuperMicro Computer (SMCI), which was charged with accounting violations in 2020 and has recently been accused of similar misconduct.

While there's potential for significant returns if these companies can successfully turn things around, I'm cautious about investing in companies with such uncertain futures.

My number 1 priority in investing is NOT to make the highest returns.

My number 1 priority is to MINIMISE risk of losing my money. I rather NOT MAKE MONEY if there is a chance I could have a permanent loss of capital

This is why I do not invest in Crypto, unprofitable, overvalued or unpredictable stocks. This is why I do not leverage or take highly concentrated bets.

Yes, some of them could indeed go up a lot. And that’s fine with me. But more often than not, many high risk unproductive assets will lose most of their value eventually.

I do not have to make money in every stock. I do not have to win at every game. I just need to win at the game I am COMFORTABLE playing. Call me a chicken. But I rather be a chicken that survives and makes consistent returns over the long run.

Well said. I totally concur with you principles. Individual investor is not compelled to invest all the time to fulfill customers portfolios. Your first capital most likely come from savings of your hard earned money, not by investment. Imagine how you’re going to earn that same amount of capital back again if one had lost it in impulsive/overly optimistic investment decision.
