$NIO could soon be exporting
$NIO Inc.(NIO)$ $NIO-SW(09866)$ seeing some massive trading activity Already at 60m shares traded by noon vs 45m daily average.
Goodbye shorties. You put up a valiant attempt at the open but the odds were stacked against you this time and you pushed your luck. 😅 Now they’ve announced their Onvo L60 pricing of $21k base model. At that price, Nio could soon be exporting the heck out of these Onvos to neighboring markets ala $BYD Co., Ltd.(BYDDF)$ $BYD COMPANY(01211)$ .

I think it was simply genius marketing and brand positioning for NIO to come up with ONVO for its lower end EV. It’s a great way to target would-be $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ owners with a far more affordable model and also an excellent way to maintain the premium and exclusivity of the NIO product line.
It’s like them telling people, “If you can’t afford a Model Y, Onvo is the car for you.” and “If you can afford premium, don’t buy Onvo or Tesla. Get a Nio instead.” 🤭
