Why is Tesla dropping after the event? High expectations from investors or "Sell the news" just happened?
To me, It is the timeline that given by Elon. 2026 is just too far from now, many thing could happened between these period. The timeline for the full deployment of Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology across society is uncertain.
Some experts are optimistic that significant deployments could begin in 5 to 10 years, but widespread adoption across all regions and sectors of society may take longer, likely extending into the 2040s or beyond.
Would it drop more on 10/23?
Tesla has lowered the prices of its vehicles multiple times in 2024 as part of its strategy to remain competitive in the growing electric vehicle (EV) market. These price cuts have affected several of Tesla's models.
While Tesla missed its Q3 2024 delivery targets, it is not guaranteed that it will miss its upcoming earnings expectations for Q3 2024. However, the lower-than-expected deliveries could weigh on Tesla’s earnings, given the strong correlation between deliveries and revenue.
Deliveries are a key driver of revenue for Tesla. Fewer vehicles delivered generally means less revenue, so the fact that Tesla delivered 435,059 vehicles, down about 7% from the previous quarter (466,140 in Q2 2024), could result in lower revenue for Q3 compared to Q2.
