$Blackstone Group LP(BX)$ is scheduled to report third-quarter 2024 results on 17 Oct, before the opening bell. Its revenues and earnings are likely to have improved on a year-over-year basis.

Market is expecting the earnings per share to come in at $0.95, Blackstone Inc. is one of the largest alternative asset management firm specializing in real estate, private equity, hedge fund solutions, credit, secondary funds of funds, public debt and equity and multi-asset class strategies.

The one-month return of Blackstone Inc. was -0.98%, and its shares gained 46.39% of their value over the last 52 weeks.

So investors would be looking at whether the returns on investment for this stock.

Blackstone Investment Into Data Centre In Span. Is this the right time?

Blackstone , the world's largest alternative asset manager, plans to invest 7.5 billion euros ($8.2 billion) to develop data centres in Spain's Aragon, boosting the region's growing status as a major cloud computing hub in Europe.

Blackstone will follow tech giants such as Microsoft and Amazon in choosing the regional capital Zaragoza in northeastern Spain, where so far 19 data centres projects have been submitted to local authorities for approval, a spokesperson for the Aragon's regional government said on Tuesday.

Blackstone will develop the buildings by installing cooling machines and cable connections with the aim of leasing them to companies who will install computer servers.

If we were to look at the demand for AI activities in Europe, we could see that there is quite a good growth in the european AI market, but if we zoom in to Spain market alone.

The market size in Spain might not be significant to have so many AI data centre players in the country, I believe the strategy to have invested in other european country like Germany might reap better returns on investment.

Technical Indicators Show Promising Upside For BX Ahead Of Its Earnings

Technical are giving an uptrend for BX ahead of its earnings, I believe the reason is due to better revenues and earnings.

Investors should be encouraged to look into loading this stock, as the financial sector should be boosted by encouraging earnings from banks likewise.

MACD is looking to form a bullish crossover and this would encourage investors as currently BX also trade above the short-term and long-term MA, and MTF is giving a signal of Strong uptrend.

I would be looking to load BX as I foresee that the investment into data centre would reap benefit, but hopefully the plan would be given as to why Spain was choose.

Summary

I would expect BX to share more on their plan to invest in data centre development in Span, as the european market for AI services would pick up, but whether the idea of investing in Spain is a good idea, we would need to see.

The regulatory part is also something to watch out, so even with good revenue and earnings expected, I would look for outlook and guidance from BX.
