$Coinbase Global, Inc.(COIN)$ Much ado has been made about this election’s impact on crypto. Trump will be a huge boon for alts and COIN, but neither candidate will have much impact on BTC.

Bitcoin’s story has already been written. It will either become an inflation hedge or it won’t. It will either become a store of value or it won’t. The election pricing-in effect is not a bet on a better BTC regulatory environment, it’s a bet on whether the anticipated inflation acts as a catalyst for these theses.

The regulatory environment is what matters for alts and COIN, and that’s why we continue to see $BTC outperform. Inflation is a near certain macro outcome under either candidate. Regardless of Trump’s lead, alts are still somewhat pinned because the race is too close to call.

On election night, if PA goes to Trump, empty your clip into alts.
