$NextEra Energy Partners LP(NEP)$ Ok so latest earnings were not good. Two days after and we are down 20%. But wait at current prices the dividend yield is 17.5%, thats insane!

And the dividend payout keeps going up, even though they said it's probably going to be flat for a while due to high interest rates.  But wait, interest rates are now coming down. Yes nep is in a very capital intensive business, and there is likely pressure To reduce the dividend or raise more capital. But seriously! Even if the dividend comes down to 10%, thats still a great return.

I think the market has totally overreacted, and im buying it because even if there are headwinds, its a great infrastructure company that is at bargain basement prices. Longer term its a no brainer investment. Short term it mite go lower and definitely go sideways, but long term its a dividend machine giving over 90 cents per $21 share every quarter. And so what if it goes sideways, you still get paid handsomely regardless. Sure if they cut the dividend it's going to drop even more, making it an even better buy. Sometimes investors need balls of steel.

My steel balls are telling me to buy and hold for the long term

Im with you on this one, dollar cost averaging is the ideal way since there’s a chance the stock price can dip further if dividends are cut. Check out my latest post about them, they are only at 55% payout ration of their CAD, so no surprise they are still able to raise dividends this quarter.
