Tesla model 3
Earlier this year, there was an attempt to quickly switch Model 3 production at Tesla's Fremont Factory to the new design refresh version, known as the Model 3 Highland. However, things didn’t go as planned. The upgrade took longer than expected, and Tesla ended up losing about 33,000 units of Model 3 production that quarter.
This delay had a big negative impact on sales. Without that issue, Tesla would likely be on track to surpass last year’s global sales of 1,808,581 units, but now it looks difficult.
