Whoever teaches or preaches Warren Buffett's "value investing" must be kicking themselves right now. Why do I say so?

From reading a recent Reddit long post about a contributor who claimed that he basically gave up on "value investing" while his friends speculated on meme stocks & cryptocurrencies and made a ton of money according to him.

He's comparing his own results from his trading philosophy against a highly speculative one. It could go either way, win or lose. But his conclusion is that he lost.

Reading the comments, there's 2 camps but one comment stood out for me. It's a balanced viewpoint of accepting that value investing is based on the philosophy of growing the investment slowly much like planting a tree or caring for a house plant.

IMO, have a plan and stick to it. Know what you're getting yourself into before committing to it. And accept the results knowing when to take profits and cash out or cut loss and take a break.

What's your opinion and viewpoint on investing? I'll love to hear your philosophy and results from investment.
