Its always nice when you win, but making lose always hurts more. The main thing is to learn from them. I feel the key to getting better is understanding what works for you and what will help with those consistent gains. I personally have a long way to go on my pathway to learning. My win % is just above 50%.
The red days have taught me more about what to look out for next time. There's always times when you just can't explain why the market fell and that's when you need to understand when you can accept your loses and pull out before you lose more.
Today was a green day and with that also comes with a lesson. I had 1 option open that had been under performing and finally started to go green. I had to make a choice was it worth continuing the ride to make more gains or just pull the plug and breakeven. With the volatility and previous experience with this stock I decided to the pull the plug and made 1% gain, good thing I did as it fell back down below my breakeven point and stayed their for the rest of the trading window.
