MSFT - Is a billion dollars a lot to invest?
Remember when $1 billion used to seem like a very big number?
30 years ago $Microsoft(MSFT)$ was a $23 Billion company.
Today it’s worth $3.26 Trillion.
$23,000,000,000
became
$3,260,000,000,000
Its market cap grew 142 times while its net income grew just 77x and revenues grew 53x.
Stock market values reflect a company’s growth and profitability but also inflation that erodes the buying power of every dollar you keep in your ridiculously low-yielding bank accounts.
Invest. It’s the only way to (legally) get ahead.
