DBS bank - Good News, it seems that Israel and Iran has agreed to ceasefire. Bank likely rebound !

Indeed it has Gapped up this morning! Now trading at 42.22. Nice!

DBS Bank - As expected, price is down due to war but I think the dividend may likley support the price at current price of 43.40 with an yield of 6.91 percent!

Dbs is the only local bank that is paying out quarterly dividend. Expecting another interim dividend of 0.60 + 0.15 special dividend.

Not a call to buy or sell!

6th May 2025:

DBS bank - 1st quarter results is out. Net profit is down 2 percent to 2.9b due to 15 percent global minimum tax. ROE 17.3 percent. I think results beat market expectations of 2.82b. Interim dividend of 60 cents plus special dividend of 15 cents!

I think results is quite good!

First Quarter net profit is up 10% qoq.

Total Revenue increased 6% to 5.905b.

Due to trade Tarrifs, FY2025 net profit will be lowered than 2024.

Hahaha… Israel & US are using same playbook used in both Ukraine & Gaza conflicts. Fake ceasefire & negotiations to buy time for them to make preps for something else up their sleeves. Iran should be wiser than fall into same tactics. 😝
