I’ve added to my Tesla position following Benchmark’s bold upgrade, where analyst Mickey Legg raised the price target to $475—implying a 45% upside and valuing the company at $1.5 trillion. Despite near-term delivery softness, Legg sees Tesla morphing beyond EVs into a robotics and automation powerhouse. The recent robotaxi reveal in Austin has re-energized bullish sentiment, and I believe Tesla’s scalable, camera-based self-driving tech gives it a critical edge over Waymo. At current levels, weakness feels priced in—future gains could be driven by tech, not just cars.
