ASML converted €9.3B in quarterly sales into €2.9B in net profit.
That is what happens when the world’s most advanced chipmakers depend on technology no rival currently supplies at scale.
The quarter showed the moat widening:
- Sales rose 21% YoY
- Net profit climbed 27%
- Gross margin reached 54%
- 2026 revenue guidance increased to €43–45B
AI demand is pushing chipmakers to expand capacity, while ASML is preparing to increase EUV and DUV output by roughly 30% in 2027.
The stock reaction was less straightforward.
Stock price jumped after the report, then surrendered part of the move before rebounding. By yesterday´s close, ASML’s U.S.-listed shares were around 1% above their July 14 close and 69% higher YTD.
