$Redwire Corp.(RDW)$ NASA put out an updated ISS solicitation (July 24) looking for next-gen DNA/RNA sequencing systems on the station. To me, this matters a lot for Redwire for a few reasons.
First, they're already the top commercial operator of ISS biotech payloads — PIL-BOX, the BFF 3D bio-printer, space greenhouses, all that. Second, this directly strengthens the in-space pharma R&D side for their partners like Eli Lilly and BMS, without needing to send samples back to Earth. And third, RDW looks like it's in the best position to win and integrate this payload.
The bigger picture here is that Redwire isn't just a hardware parts supplier. They're building out the dominant space-biotech infrastructure, and this feels like a serious catalyst ahead.
