Today's Strategy

Asian markets faced broad pressure today, with both Japan and South Korea closing lower. U.S. futures also showed weakness overnight as risk appetite declined.

The biggest sell-off came from the memory sector.

$005930 (Samsung Electronics) became the focus of the market after its shareholder return plan failed to meet investor expectations. While Samsung announced a record-scale return program, investors were looking for a more aggressive buyback strategy rather than a dividend-heavy approach. The disappointment triggered a sharp decline in Samsung shares and pressured the entire memory sector.

The weakness also spread across other memory names:

$美光科技(MU)$  ‌— Micron Technology

$SK海力士(SKHY)$  ‌— SK hynix

$闪迪(SNDK)$  ‌— SanDisk

$西部数据(WDC)$  ‌— Western Digital

$Roundhill Memory ETF(DRAM)$  ‌— Memory ETF

Short-term sentiment has clearly shifted, with investors taking profits after a strong run in AI memory stocks.

Fortunately, we had already reduced most of our memory exposure earlier, locking in gains before this sector-wide pullback.

This is why discipline matters.

The long-term AI memory thesis remains intact. HBM, DRAM, and advanced storage demand are still supported by the growth of AI infrastructure.

But even the strongest industries experience corrections.

Protecting capital during periods of uncertainty creates opportunities when the next setup appears.

Stay patient. The best opportunities often come after market pressure.
