  • Wesfarmers reported a statutory net profit after tax of $2.87 billion for the full year ended June 30.

  • The retail giant raised its full-year ordinary dividend by 7.8% to $2.22 per share.

  • Management cited price reductions across retail businesses to support household budgets during cost of living pressures.

Retail conglomerate Wesfarmers (ASX:WES) reported a statutory net profit after tax of $2.87 billion for the year ended June 30, supported by retail growth.

Excluding significant items from the prior period, net profit after tax increased 8.3%, while total revenue rose 3.4% to $47.27 billion.

“Bunnings’ solid trading performance reflected the strength and resilience of its offer and ability to deliver growth through a range of market conditions. Kmart Group’s higher earnings were supported by the strong value credentials of its Anko products and focus on operating efficiency and cost control,” said Wesfarmers Managing Director Rob Scott.

The company highlighted that earnings were driven by Bunnings Group, Kmart Group, and WesCEF, while Spodumene concentrate production reached 209 kilotonnes.

The company stated that disciplined cost control and productivity initiatives are expected to support continued growth across its core retail divisions.

Following the announcement, the Wesfarmers share price was unchanged at $83.27.

The Wesfarmers board has determined to pay a fully-franked final dividend of $1.20 per share, bringing total fully-franked ordinary dividends for the year to $2.22 per share, an increase of 7.8%.

For the first seven weeks of the 2027 financial year, Bunnings’ sales growth was slightly stronger compared to the second half of the 2026 financial year, assisted by unseasonably dry weather in July.

The group operates major Australian retail brands, including Bunnings, Kmart, Target, and Officeworks, alongside industrial and safety operations.
