Market Chatter: Meta, Other Companies Brace for Democratic Scrutiny Over Trump Ties
Meta Platforms , Paramount Skydance and other companies with close ties to President Donald Trump are preparing for the possibility of Democratic scrutiny if the party regains control of the House in the 2026 midterm elections, The Wall Street Journal reported Friday.Some companies are forming internal task forces and hiring Democratic advisers to prepare for potential congressional investigations, including into their financial support for Trump and his political operations, the Journal reported.Meta recently gave $5 million each to Democratic-aligned nonprofits House Majority Forward and Majority Forward, the Journal reported.
