Adding to my DRAM and networking/optics exposure after the recent volatility. Bought more shares of $SK hynix(SKHY)$ and $Applied Optoelectronics(AAOI)$ today. I think both are significantly undervalued at their current levels of $163.25 and $107.31, respectively.
Memory and networking/optics are two sectors I believe have the highest upside potential for the rest of 2026 and into 2027. DRAM and optical transceiver suppliers could catch a bid in the near future, and will likely see significant growth over the next 16 months through the end of 2027. That view is supported by projections for AI hyperscaler capex spending to finish 2026 at roughly $860 billion, and land somewhere between $1.2 trillion and $1.6 trillion in 2027.
I'm consolidating my portfolio even more into some of my strongest convictions for explosive growth.
Bottom line: short-term volatility doesn't change my longer-term conviction and bullishness on DRAM and networking/optics.
